Alcohol may be one of the biggest influences for weight gain. It's pretty calorie dense, easy to consume and almost always a source of empty calories that do little to fuel the body. These are the reasons why many trainers recommend giving up alcohol if you want to lose weight.
Unfortunately, alcohol is also one of the favorite parts of a diet that people are not willing to give up on. While drinking beer or wine it may be ideal for weight loss, it's not a good plan if you're not willing to go that far.
